A one-day virtual event has been announced by Facebook to bring back the F8 conference for software developers which was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As it is being called, F8 Refresh will be held on 02 June 2021. According to Facebook, the company is bringing the conference back its roots to celebrate, inspire, and help the developers grow.
This year’s Virtual F8 conference would potentially lack the presence of top executive Mark Zuckenberg who has long been a superior attraction at F8 gatherings, opening events, keynote presentations, and discussions about tech giants’ creative contents, goals, and vision. As from the latest information the VP of platform partnerships Konstantinos Papamiltiadis will give the opening presentation.
The Refresh gatherings have always been a key source of insight into Facebook’s expanding set of projects and their new format. Even if it is a virtual event, this year’s gathering will likely still be a key source of info on where Facebook is focusing and what can developers expect from the platform in the months and years to come.
Altogether this year at the Facebook F8 Refresh event, the company team will probably showcase its latest projects and new tools across its various apps, while Facebook will also provide more in-depth insight into its works on VR, AR, and other new technology tools. In addition to that, the new format may enable more developers outside of Facebook and allow them to present how facebook tools help them develop new processes and tools.
On top of all these, almost everyone’s much-awaited Facebook’s coming AR glasses along with its rumored smartwatch may also be revealed during the company product show with details.
There is no doubt that this year’s virtual event is going to be more informative and unique compared to the previous year’s.
